My friend, EA Stewart (a Registered Dietician  & fabulous food blogger) recently posted a recipe for Potato Leek Soup with spring pea shoots. Not only does the recipe sound delicious, the photos accompanying it are gorgeous! I was inspired to create a color palette from the photo below. Just Breathe...

It was an amazing week here at the Easton Place studio. I finalized details with my new online shop and had a fabulous launch day on Thursday! All the excitement of the launch (and mostly preparing for the launch) was emotionally taxing. Yesterday I took a walk around the property and used my "real camera" to take a few photos of all the natural launches happening throughout the garden. It was a much needed time to "just breathe". With my trusty companion Aggie, at my side, I was able to put work on the back burner for a bit to enjoy all that nature has created over the past few weeks. I love Spring. It's a time to renew... start fresh... shake off the layers of clothes needed for Winter... feel the warmth of the sun... Just Breathe in all the natural beauty and inspiration God has given us. Below are a few of the photos from my walk. I hope you can find a moment to enjoy the natural beauty in your own back yard or neighborhood.

The Shop Is Open!

After months of planning, designing, photo taking, describing, coding.... The New Easton Place is officially open for business! I first want to thank my family for all their support. Without their patience and love this would have been a much rougher road.  I want to thank the amazing team at Aeolidia for making my vision a reality. I'm also incredibly thankful for all of my friends, online and in real life, who have supported this effort with words of encouragement, advice, hand-holding and happy dances along the way. Thank you all!

I hope you take a few moments to look around the new shop. You'll find social correspondence with rounded corners and lined envelopes, brand new invitations (also with lined envelopes), personalized recipe cards for the baker/cook/chef in your life, fun personalized coasters and more! I'll be adding more invitation designs over the next few weeks, as well as relaunching my branding business in May. Then this summer the new Easton Place Baby line will be arriving. It's looking to be a very fun and excited 2012.

Almost Launch Day!

The brand new Easton Place online boutique is almost ready to open it's virtual doors for business thanks to the amazing team at Aeolidia! Our grand opening is scheduled for next week! And while I'm beyond thrilled to open for business, I still have several details needing my attention. Dreaming of a New Writing Table

There's a place in my living room that currently holds a ladder-back bench. I've been dreaming of replacing the bench with a new writing table. Here are my top five "dream tables". Some are desks, some are kitchen tables. In any event, I think they're all lovely. Which one do you like?
