Homemade Menorahs - DIY

It's been a very festive holiday season here at Easton Place Designs. I thought it would be fun to show you some menorahs my youngest son made (with a little tiny help from his Mama). All of the materials were purchased at Home Depot except for the glue-gun which was purchased at a craft shop.

We started with...
Stones, tiles and glass backsplash pieces. Regular metal nuts.
Step one is to take the stones and tiles off their mesh backing removing as much of the adhesive as possible. Next, layout your design on the base plate to make sure things will fit properly. Once you're happy with the design, remove items from your base plate and start adhering the nuts to the "rocks" and square tiles and rebuilding your design, gluing/adhering each piece. The only part I helped my son with was affixing the thinner glass piece to the larger glass base piece. For this I used super glue. All other pieces were fastened using either the hot glue gun or "Strongstik" by Dap.

Here are the final menorahs...

Happy Hanukkah!

Wishing you all a very happy and festive holiday!

2011 Holiday Event

Greetings from Easton Place Designs' "holiday workshop"! I've been busy planning this year's holiday fun and today the event is revealed. Starting today and for the next three weeks Easton Place Designs shoppers will be receiving extra goodies with their purchases!!! Here is the schedule of giveaways:

Today - December 4:
With a purchase of $50 or more you receive a set of 8 petite cards. You choose the EPD design you want and the wording as well!

December 5 - 11:
With each set of stationery purchased, you get to choose an EPD greeting card to go along with it! ANY Easton Place Designs card is part of the week's giveaway. So feel free to stock up on holiday, birthday, mother's day, teacher gifts etc!!

December 12-18:
A free Staedtler Triplus Fineliner marker pen with EACH set of stationery! I will do my best to color coordinate the inks to match the stationery sets. It's a fun little bonus perhaps for yourself this time... to write your thank you notes for after the holidays!

I hope you all take advantage of the goodies in this year's holiday event! I had fun putting things together. I wish you a very Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza and Happy New Year! Whatever holiday you celebrate this month, may it be a joyous event for all!

xoxo
