Latest Custom Invitation Suite... A Wedding!

I'm thrilled to show you a beach themed wedding suite I recently created for a client. The wedding is this Summer. Ah, Summer. While the New England states are still trying to believe there's a Spring, the studio has been busy with Summer invitations and new stationery designs. It's actually a lovely way to ignore the cold winds that still linger at night and the cooler than usual day-time temperatures. But I digress...

I present our latest Easton Place wedding invitation suite:

What do you think? Can you hear the waves upon the coast, feel the sand between your toes? I'm trying to do just that!

Just a reminder, there are a few more days left to enter the Easton Place Instagram contest! And stay tuned for the big custom stationery & rubber stamp reveal, this week as well! And there are a few surprises launching this week which I've not even mentioned in previous posts, tweets nor on Facebook.

Happy April, friends. Here's hoping it's a lovely one.

xoxo

Thoughtful Thursday

This summer my husband and I took our family to Martha's Vineyard. It's an annual tradition that's been going strong since Matthew and I were married. That's right... we had our honeymoon on Martha's Vineyard! As summer winds down, I find myself daydreaming about our few weeks on the vineyard. The sand, surf, biking, hydrangeas, seafood... a lovely daydream.

One of the things I seem to forget when packing, and you'll see the irony instantly, is thank you notes! On several occasions I found the need to write a thank you. For starters, the housekeeping at the resort was amazing. Our room was freshened daily, sometimes twice if we asked for it. (Kids, beach, afternoon snacks = messy vacation stays.) And while I tip the housekeeping staff daily, it would have been nice to finish off the trip with a handwritten note on a lovely piece of stationery.

There are a handful of restaurants we make sure to return to every summer. Often the hostess will recognize us and give us a complementary drink or dessert! (yum) When that happens, it would be so lovely to drop a thank you note in the mail the next day instead of trying to remember to write the note when we get home from our trip. I really hope I can remember to bring along some correspondence notes when we next travel. Even just a handful will be useful. Let me know in the comments if you also find yourself in need of a note or two when you travel.

  • Martha's Vineyard inspired Teal Blue Whale correspondence notes from Easton Place
  • Chappy Lighthouse, Martha's Vineyard
  • Hydrangeas from the garden
  • Sea Star (as found by my youngest son) on Martha's Vineyard
  • Rock Sculpture (built by my oldest son) on Martha's Vineyard
  • A perfect beach-side porch with painted ceiling. source

Drawing Board News

I'm excited to tell you about the latest designs to leave the Easton Place Designs studio! If you follow me on Twitter, you might already know about the mini suite I created for Liz over at Shorely Chic. Together Liz and I designed an invitation for her upcoming wedding rehearsal dinner. I then translated the design to coordinating thank you notes. I loved working with Liz and I have a feeling it's not the last paper lovely we create together! The invitation and the thank you notes are now available in my shop.

These past few weeks I've been working on a few logo designs. First up is the design I did for Catherine R. of "Moms in Weston". Catherine was looking for something clean and simple using the colors blue, green and white. I see she's already updated her twitter avatar! I'm anxious to see her new blog update as well. Here is the logo design...

My final "show 'n tell" today is the logo I did for the lovely Kristen Waterbury of Kristen Waterbury Photography. I love working with new businesses. It's so fun to be a part of the excitement of it all! Watch for Kristen's website in the future. Until then, you can "like" her business page on facebook.

Over the next few weeks I'll be working on the finishing touches on the Holiday 2011 line!! Stay tuned. Better yet, subscribe to my monthly newsletter. You'll be sure to hear the holiday news when it's hot off the press.
